Our Story
Meet Tom and Louise Iversen, paired up for life in 1986. Their backgrounds are diverse and not so much related to farming. Both came from years in the professional corporate world. Later, they owned a small flower and gift shop in Wake Forest for ten years and that adventure was probably the nexus of their shared desire to live and grow closer to the land. This is their story, in their own words:
In 2014, our hearts led us back to the embrace of family land where we soon added a few wool sheep, a small flock of hens, and a couple of rabbits. Transforming this inherited parcel back into a working farm isn't only about growing food and raising livestock; it has been about stewarding a legacy. It's about honoring family and the land's farming history, preserving its tranquility and fostering a place that soothes the soul, while forging a new future for it. We invite you to escape the everyday and discover the peaceful charm of our small farm where you'll find a unique oasis, offering you a genuine taste of small family farm life.
