Meet Pippa
Pippa began our flock/family as an award to our daughter from the Youth Conservationist Program. She was born on a farm in Pennsylvania. She is a registered Bluefaced Leicester and a rare breed sheep.
Although this breed was originally raised for their distinctive and highly prized sweet meat, they are now prized for their fine, long, curly, and lustrous wool. Pippa is the alpha sheep of our flock and always curious about anything or anyone unfamiliar where she takes a protective stance in front of the flock. She is very affectionate and loves ear scratches. Pippa is Buggs’ and Becca’s great grandmother. Pippa is an NC State Fair multiple blue-ribbon winner.
